The "View Crew" Has Left The Building.....
After much Heavenly "hoopla" today, the "View Crew" finally left to go watch Big Red's movie debut!! "Secretariat", is on the big Earthly screen and Sirrus the Heavenly gopher flew the rest of the gang down to your Earthly State of New York to watch it!! Ruffian, Regret, Pine Island, Eight Belles, Gallant Secret and a flurry of other Heavenly ladies spent half the Heavenly night getting their hair done, as well as getting hoof pedicures! Of course Ruffian chose PINK for her Heavenly hooves!! Your beloved Seattle Slew did all of their "hairdos" and let me tell you, SOME of them had to "duck" underneath the Heavenly doorways they were so "high" up.....Can anyone say, "Welcome to the 80's??" As you know, Secretariat demolished the Earthly field in his 1973 Belmont Stakes win so he chose to wear his blue and white checkered silk colors to watch his Earthly movie debut.....that and a pair of Ray-Bans!!! Last Heavenly night was the big party and EVERYONE at Heaven's Gate Farm had a fantastic time celebrating! Slew loaded up his 40 tonnes of Heavenly popcorn (already buttered), so if you see what looks like a LARGE rumpled cloud up in the sky within the next 3 hours........THAT'S Slew's "goodie" cloud!!

I'm so happy for you...I can hardly STAND it and cannot WAIT to see on the news after this weekend, where your MOVIE placed in the 'went to see' category, i.e., where your movie places in the list of weekend choices, I mean:)
I missed *FRIDAY NIGHT MEAD AND GREET AT **QUID'S** LAST DITCH....and so did Linda, GA? I hope all is well there in the southwing with our friend!
Believe me, after the past three days, MEAD would have been so WELCOME...I'd prolly STILL be sleeping...but I FORGOT, I was so caught up in 'stuff' I FORGOT:(

ReplyDeleteYup, Lynne, 'dine and fandy' is what we all want for our critters to be who have passed before us to the Farm. Your Murphy boy was such a lucky dogger to have had you for HIS mom:) He knew/knows that!! Seymoure, on the other hand, knows that YOU are the lucky one to be his mom! lol!! Crazy kitteh!
Hope that the movie was enjoyed by everyone in the View Crew! I can only imagine the cacophoney of sounds from the gang chomping away on the buttered popcorn...maybe they were the only ones in the theatre?!

It's Mead Day Friday, y'all! Where the heck is everybody?!? I'm quite sure that eating the overabundance of heavely buttered popcorn is NOT the reason why our sweet Farm Manager isn't posting....tummies can sure act up after an entire tub of the tasty stuff and doling out pepto can take time, I know! It must be that she's so dang busy trying to get the goop out of everyones manes!! lol!

ReplyDeleteBig shoulders, big drinks and even bigger HAIR! OMGoodness, the ozone coulda been wrecked by the hairspray used to keep those dos up so high and the crimping in! Mullet hair on several guys (sure hope THAT one never comes back) and neon colors on the girls. Jelly bracelets, microphones, slap bracelets and coozies were presents to be taken home. A Ms. PacMan cake w/ a Rubics Cube atop was devoured as were the hordiehors. AND, nobody fell in the pool!!! It was truly a blast from the past:)

Even though I didn't post on the exact days, I've sure been thinking alot of my sweet Franny Face and Maggie. FranFran has been at the Farm 3 years Oct. 19 and MaggaMay 4 years the 17th. They are NEVER far from my mind and ALWAYS in my heart:)

ReplyDeleteThe little boy and Bam came to visit for just one day. It always makes my heart sing to have my young'uns around!! Badgley and Coda still do NOT like Bam I Am...he's so big, I guess! lol!! If they only knew how Kitty hung around his neck @ Bam's house and takes him down like a lion takes down a gazelle... They are just fraidy babies!
I'll just bet Slew, the other horses and ALL the residents are getting ready for the BIG BIRTHDAY BASH that is going to be thrown next Toosday....but, shhhhh, don't let our adorable Farm Manager know.

I'll bet Pastry Chef Slew has been baking up a storm and has some wonderful treats for the entire population to eat. Wish I could be there to sample some myself! lol!! EH, get Ruffian to do the cleaning up so you can enjoy your special day! HAPPY BIRTHDAY:) BTW, you get to pick what drink we indulge in today! Cheers, y'all.
